We know a lot of people claim that they actually suffer physical pain when looking at an ugly thing but usually they are just looking for attention. It's not the case with MINI's latest invention, the Chrome Line Edition Deluxe model.
Unveiled today, April 1, 2015, the car was created to be dazzling wherever it goes. In this regard, it features a special exterior that transforms it into a true eye-catcher: everything from the front air intakes to the tailpipes is chromed.

The car will be available only in the 3-door guise and its first presentation will take place today, in front a limited number of special guests. All the photographers invited to the unveiling have also been instructed that it is compulsory to wear sunglasses in order to protect their eyes in case someone decides to take a picture and uses flash.

According to MINI, the Chrome Line Exterior Deluxe is the continuation of a design principle that has been pursued ever since the original Mini was launched back in 1959. Chrome has been used throughout the British company's products for over 50 years.

Of course, since the entire body of the car is made of chrome, the manufacturing process had to change as well. The MINI plant in Oxford, UK will have its hall lights automatically dimmed during assembly of the new model. Furthermore, the operating speed of the conveyor belt will be reduced to allow workers to check their clothing and hair in the reflection of the MINI's body.
