A Fair Warning Before You Go BMW

When buying a new car, there are a lot of key factors you should bear in mind. From the maintenance cost, to purchase, insurance and even fuel consumption, you have to be careful about everything. But how about the other owners out there? Should you take them into consideration also?
I guess it depends on the person but for me, the answer to that question is undoubtedly YES. A recent rant on Jalopnik was the inspiration for this piece and I have to say Formula4Speed (the one who wrote the rant) is absolutely right.

When it comes to BMWs, for some unknown reason, the owners’ club seems to be a little different from the usual you see in every other major gathering. For some unknown reason, BMW drivers (and owners, of course) are absolutely dreadful.

As he points out, “They don't have a clue how to operate their turn signals. They can't maintain a constant speed. They drive the speed limit in the left lane[...]” and he’s absolutely right. There’s something wrong with this crowd and I’m not sure I know why.

On the other hand, as long as the satisfaction you get from a good BMW outshines all these downsides, you should be good. Not everyone cares that much about how he’s viewed in public or how other people behave, in which case, buying a Bimmer is the right thing to do. In the end, it all comes down to personal choice but consider yourself warned!
