The KTM 1290 Super Duke R is, undoubtedly, one of the most vicious streetfighters to date, and will give the Tuono a run for its money, while also tapping into the muscle bike territory with big claims.
Though not exactly a powercruiser to make Ducati's Diavel question its manliness, the Beast surely looks like it can tackle pretty much any naked bike, be it an European or a Japanese one. And seeing the 1290 Super Duke R wear such a neat darkened livery is only making things even better.

The black 1290 Super Duke R shots have been taken at the Kiska headquarters, its very home, so to speak. Kiska design, run by Gerald Kiska, has been involved with KTM for quite a long time now, and they are responsible for many of Mattighoffen's most aggressive bikes, including the Adventure machines.

Fiery orange for the frame, glossy and matte black for the rest

We don't know if KTM plans to offer this amazing livery on a wider scale, but we surely hope they do. If anything, this is a most exciting proof that sobriety can be menacing.

Most of the surfaces are finished in matte black, including the engine and the silencer sleeve, seat, tail section, bars and the like. Still, Kiska decided to paint the wheels, front fender and the tank in gloss black, making the contrast with the KTM-characteristic fiery orange even stronger.

We expect that the Austrian maker delivers the 1290 Super Duke R in several mean liveries, and we just can't rule such a darkened one out, especially as it seems to be able to convey pretty much all that the Beast stands for. Still, for now, all we can do is wait...
