While Corvette enthusiasts are familiar with the Juechter name, we figure a lot of you don’t know who Mat Juechter is and why it’s important that he got a Laguna Blue C7 Corvette.
Well, he’s the father of Tadge Juechter, the chief engineer of the redesigned 2014 Corvette Stingray. The 80-year-old has been driving a sixth-generation Corvette until now and planned on sticking with it, but it seems that his son’s creation made him change his mind.
And since a father & son moment like that deserves a special event, Juechter Sr. took delivery of his sportscar at the National Corvette Museum. He even added a custom plate which reads “MYSNSCR” (“my son’s car”). Juechter says that license plate and the “five minute pitch” that comes with it got him out of a few speeding tickets.
