If there are two things that we love about the M155 engine in the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren there is its supercharger whine and its understated V8 burble at low rpm.
Unfortunately, the following video doesn't feature a single drop of supercharger whine, but it does depict the low rpm burble and a very slow burnout to make up for it.
Since this is no ordinary SLR McLaren but one that has been touched by the magical hands of RENNtech tuning specialists in Florida, the estimated horsepower of the car is no longer 626 hp (or 650 hp for the 722 Edition, ed) but an estimated 750 hp.
That sounds pretty good, but the real game changer of the RENNTech tuning package is the close too 1000 Nm (735 lb ft) of torque, which are most likely responsible for the way in which the SLR McLaren bellow overpowers its rear brakes so easily.
We could care less about the not-exactly-pretty Mansory bodykit, but the $30,000+ commanded by the RENNtech bits under that long hood are surely worth every penny in our book.
