It's difficult not to appreciate the smile-inducing powers of a sleeper and we're here to show you the latest example of what such a machine can do. It's all connected to a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado that has received a pair of turbos, using the forced induction to surprise Chevrolet dealership employees.
The Silverado 1,500 keeps its factory stock appearance, but its engine compartment now features a twin-turbo system supplied by Armageddon Turbo.

The aftermarket developer wanted to preach its forced induction to the world, so they went ahead and trolled a dealer's staff by making a service appointment.

Showing concern for a "strange whistle sound," the Silverado's driver invited a few employees for a shotgun ride, all with the apparent aim of getting to the bottom of the aurally-signaled issue.

As you can imagine, once a guy with the Chevy badge on his clothes was in the passenger seat, the twin-turbo kit was put to work, with giggles not failing to show up.

The tuner explains that the setup used in the video pushed the pickup truck to around 650 hp (at the crank).

This means the 6.2-liter V8 engine under the hood delivered a power premium of about 200 hp. Even with the 5,400 lbs (2,400 kg) weight of a Silverado, having an extra Subaru BRZ under the hood can definitely make a difference.

The company explains its turbochargers can deliver an output of between 500 and 1,500 hp. However, if you're planning on taking things past the 650 hp level mentioned above, you will have to consider a number of supporting mods.

On the one hand, we have the engine upgrades required to generate such a high output - with the good reputation of both the 5.3-liter (also covered by the tuner) and the 6.2-liter V8s, you won't need too much beside forged internals and a strong fuel delivery system.

However, the transfer case may be at risk, so you'd better mind your launches. This is the kind of tuning project that's best used for rolling starts.
