In order to take some of the press and attention from the Dodge Challenger, Camaro will be present will 4 concepts on the SEMA show floor. Their names are the Camaro LS7 Concept, the Camaro Dale Earnhardt Jr. Concept, the GS Racecar Concept and the Black Concept.
The LS7 was inspired by the COPO Camaros from way back in the '60s when muscle cars reigned Coupled with that engine is the Tremec six-speed manual gearbox that takes care of the shifting. The brakes are Brembo and they sit behind 20-inch wheels that go well together with the lowered ride height.
The Dale Earnhardt Jr. Concept was actually produced with the help of the NASCAR driver, that is to say, they tuned it to be more of a racing machine than a street car. This means that it guzzles gas like crazy, but instead turns out major horsepower. Actually, the car runs on high-octane petrol, E85. The other nice features on this car are the gray over white paint scheme, the 21-inch rims and the dovetail spoiler.
The GS Racecar Concept not only looks the part, but it also steals the show. Painted in a nostalgic blue-and-yellow scheme, the car lost a few pounds due to its carbon fibre hood, trunk lid, doors and fenders. The engine they used on this one is a LS3 V8, coupled with a Tremec 6060 six-speed gearbox. A special racing radiator and coolers were installed and special exhaust mufflers complete the tuner set.
The Black Concept is pretty much self-explanatory and it features matte black paint, black tinted glass, HID headlamps with red “halo rings”, dark grille, and blackened taillights. Even the interior was blacked out on this car.supreme. Pimped by GM's Performance Parts section, the car was fitted with an LS7 crate engine that was further tuned to produce 550 hp thanks to a number of GM accessories.
