In the world of drag racing, there are two modern platforms that stand out and we're talking about the Nissan GT-R and the Lamborghini Gallardo here. Nevertheless, since the V10 Raging Bull's production has ended, the newer Huracan has started making its way onto the twin-turbo stage.
So far, the tuner that has come up with the most extreme Huracan proposals is Underground Racing. While the North Carolina specialist's sequential gearbox UR2 has yet to prove its full potential, and their UR1 serves as a test bed for extreme dual-clutch setups that can get close to sequential machine performance, we are now treated to UR3.

This time around, we're dealing with a customer car, but this didn't stop the UR3 from following the UR1's record-setting path. Underground Racing's third TT Huracan has recently set a new half-mile record for Puerto Rico, delivering a trap speed of 236.09 mph.

The shenanigan took place last weekend, when the UR3 was taken to an event held on Puerto Rico's Aguadilla Airport. With an empty runway underneath it, the manic Lambo was able to stretch its mechanical legs.

"This was Richard’s [the customer who drove the car] first time competing in his new Underground Racing Twin Turbo X Version Lamborghini Huracan. The race day weather conditions came with high humidity, high temperatures and strong head winds," the tuner explains in a release.

We're dealing with the Twin Turbo X kit here, and according to the tuner, this delivers north of 2,200 hp at the wheels (hence the crank output estimated in the title above) when sipping race gas. If fed pump gas (think 93 octane fuel), this Huracan will allow the driver to play with 1,200 hp in a setup that also aims for streetability.

Check out the piece of footage below to see the horsepower-crazy Lamborghini going through the gears at an astounding pace.
