2013 MotoGP: Rain Wrecks CRT's Testing at Sepang, Track Time Extended

Rain destroys CRT's tests in Sepang 1 photo
Things were supposed to heath up as the first official pre-season testing at Sepang, Malaysia had the CRT bikes on the track, running with the spec ECU. Since everybody was really looking forward for some concludent results, seeing the rain turning the second day of testing into a non-event was a bit disheartening.
As if the heavy rain was not enough, reliability problems also have plagues several teams, adding to the overall lack of convincing results. Day two meant 58 laps for the six riders who went on the track, however meaning only a slight improvement from the 41 laps during the first day.

Avintia's Hiroshi Aoyama, still recovering from his wrist injury decided it was better not to risk things in the rain. The CRT tests have been extended until Tuesday, when the rest of the teams will join the CRT on the Sepang track. It looks like the 2013 season will have to deal with rain, hopefully not for long and without reducing the spectacular factor.
