After carefully bundling the Corolla and Corolla Cross sales, the nameplate remained Toyota's most successful and also the best-selling model line worldwide in 2023.
But the twelfth generation was announced in 2018 and refreshed in 2022, so maybe it is time for something new – especially since the competition is not idle and Honda will soon introduce the refreshed 2025 Civic and Civic Hybrid in America. Speaking of the region, after a tidal wave of reveals last year, up until now Toyota hasn't announced anything new for 2024.

Sure, we are expecting the arrival of the 2024 Tacoma i-Force Max and 2024 Land Cruiser at dealerships. The company also already presented its first 2025 model year variants for the new Camry and the first-ever Crown Signia crossover SUV. Still, the company needs a blockbuster to kick off the year's proceeds – and an all-new 2025 or 2026 Corolla surely fits the profile.

Well, if the Japanese automaker is not doing anything in the real world, no worries; the imaginative realm of digital car content creators is not lying dormant. For example, the good folks over at the AutoYa info channel on YouTube have imagined the CGI looks of the upcoming 2025 Toyota Corolla (XIII). According to the host, this new iteration might take after the 2025 Camry and only feature a hybrid powertrain, or the company could also add a PHEV option like on the Prius Prime.

Meanwhile, the channel's pixel master was busy portraying the hypothetical design of the upcoming compact series – in sedan form, first and foremost. It seems that while the best-selling Corolla is a favorite of the parallel universes of vehicular CGI, it's also hard to pinpoint precisely the potential styling changes, and everyone has a different opinion regarding the looks. On this occasion, the virtual artist opted for a quirky treatment with the headlights inspired by the Prius, Camry, and Crown, plus the rear featuring merely an evolution of the current model. On the other hand, the front fascia is also plain odd because the lower bumper now doubles as the radiator grille with moving slats.

The rest of the CGI affair is pretty traditional, though. As always, the channel's video reel features the exterior design of the proposed design project – this time with and without open doors, followed by a comparison between the old and new rear POV style, a quick look at the interior design, and then it's an ample opportunity to showcase the unofficial color palette – both inside and outside. So, what do you think? Will Toyota present an all-new Corolla (at least in sedan form) this year, or will it wait to see the 2025 Honda Civic and Civic Hybrid's impact on sales before jumping out from behind the curtain with the next iteration?
