A month after it was first unveiled online, the 2024 Tesla Model 3 lands in Europe. Tesla chose an exclusive location for the presentation of the electric compact car: a French chateau.
Dubbed the Highland, the updated Model 3 made its online debut on September 1st. But not many have seen it with their own eyes just yet. Some got lucky this weekend, though. During a Tesla Owners Club meeting in France, the organizers brought the Model 3 in front of the crowd. A video from the event was uploaded on the former Twitter/current X platform.

The event took place at the Chateau de Savigny-les-Beaune, in a small town located some 29 miles (47 kilometers) southwest of Dijon, France. The video shows how the organizers pull the cover off the car while people cheer and clap at the reveal.

Tesla has not set a deliveries start date for the European market, but the official website of the carmaker mentions October-November. The delivery date is even vaguer in China, where the compact sedan is set to arrive sometime in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Dozens of 2024 Model 3 examples were spotted outside Tesla’s Gigafactory Shanghai in the past few weeks. It is a confirmation that the model entered production there, with the Fremont plant in California soon to start manufacturing the refreshed Model 3 as well. It is also an indication that deliveries are set to begin soon, once China starts exporting the cars built in Shanghai.

Strangely, even if it is the home of Tesla, America won’t be getting the Model 3 any time soon. Furthermore, the carmaker hasn’t even released the specs for the American market yet. But for the Europeans and Chinese, the 2024 Model 3 comes with the same charging speeds as the prefacelifted version: 170 kW for the Standard Range version and 250 kW for the Long Range.

The output is also the same, with the entry-level Model 3 getting 245 horsepower for an acceleration from 0 to 100 kph (0-62 mph) in 6.1 seconds. The Long Range is rated at 351 horsepower and needs 4.4 seconds to go from 0 to 100 kph. Top speed for both of them is the same: 201 kph (125 mph).

The top-of-the-line Model 3 Performance sports the dual-motor setup with all-wheel drive for a total of 456 horsepower and can drive as far as 360 miles (579 kilometers) on a full charge.

The Model 3 has grown in length by an inch, now being 4,720 millimeters (185.8 inches) long, while ground clearance has been reduced for better aerodynamics.

The Ultra Red and Stealth Gray are the two new colors that showed up in the lineup to enhance the minimalist design. The electric compact sedan got a new bumper and new headlights, while fog lights have been deleted. At the rear, Tesla mounted C-shaped lights that cut into the trunk lid.

Tesla has been cutting prices of the Model 3 in the inventory, but has not yet provided any info on the price of the refreshed Model 3.
