At long last, the S650 seventh generation 2024 Ford Mustang is out and about across the nation's dealerships in EcoBoost, GT, and Dark Horse form. Is that enough? No, of course not.
In fact, if it weren't for the upcoming Ford Mustang GTD supercar, the track-focused motorsport-only versions would be just as many as the street variants. As such, it is no wonder that everyone wants more S650 Mustangs than the turbo four-cylinder and the two Coyote V8-powered versions with up to 486 or 500 horsepower.

Interestingly, a recurring theme – both across the rumor mill and the imaginative realm of digital car content creators has been the possibility of dressing the Mustang pony/muscle/sports car as a crossover! Yep, a lot of folks dreamed about the S650 putting on some mighty Raptor R attire and once more taking advantage of the Shelby GT500's 5.2-liter supercharged V8 mill – only in a mood that hasn't been seen before.

Well, the rumors slowly died as the EcoBoost, GT, and Dark Horse started reaching people's garages and then the nation's quarter-mile dragstrips. But they may return with ample force because of an interesting model brought to the 2023 SEMA Show (October 31 to November 3) – Nissan's Safari Rally Z Tribute. Brought to the event as homage to the Datsun 240Z Safari of old, Tommy Pike Customs built this one-off along with a replica of its ancestor, and it certainly looks ready to give a run for their money to the Porsche 911 Dakar and Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato at less than half the money.

Interestingly, that SEMA Show novelty might have reminded others of the hypothetical Ford Mustang Raptor R – even if they live far away from the aftermarket Las Vegas action. Such is the case with Khyzyl Saleem, the virtual artist better known as the_kyza on social media, who is a bit late at the CGI 2024 Ford Mustang party. But as far as we can tell, he easily overcompensates with this Mustang GT 'Off-Road' build that leaves no CGI stone untouched in its quest to become a veritable dune basher and rock crawler across fantasy land.

In turn, inspired by the great Singer ACS, this 2024 Ford Mustang is raised just "a bit" to dance on bead-lock capable black wheels shod in meaty all-terrain tires, cope with the new suspension setup, and also proudly show its new body style. The design is quite elaborate, too. There is a fresh pair of headlights, a different bumper that looks capable to withstand an apocalypse, orange touches all over the place – including the full roll cage seen in the cockpit, plus a stunning widebody kit that's not just adapted to the off-road design but also quite stylish on its own. Cool, right?
