With Chevrolet pulling the plug on the Camaro late last year, it has left a void that no one knows when it will be filled. As a result, the value of certain models could increase in the near future, so this would be a good time to buy one if it was high on your shopping list.
Mind you, we are not financial experts, and the second-hand market has yet to stabilize, but if you were looking to spruce up your life with a great muscle car from the bowtie brand's modern era, then look no further than the pictured copy.

A 2021 model, it is in the 1SS configuration. And we all know what this means, don't we? Yep, a naturally aspirated V8 engine breathing air from behind that pair of grilles up front. It is a 6.2L unit that makes 455 horsepower (461 ps/339 kW) at 6,000 rpm and has 455 pound-feet (617 Nm) of torque available at 4,400 rpm.

A six-speed manual transmission delivers everything to the rear axle in this one, and even though the output and thrust are not mind-blowing, they are more than enough to inject a dose of adrenaline into its occupants every time the driver steps on the loud pedal.

The muscle car has just under 10,000 miles (~16,100 km) under its belt, and it has been properly maintained over the years. As a result, everything is in top-notch form, starting from the red paint finish on the outside, combined with a few black accents, to the 20-inch alloys spinning around the red brake calipers and the black interior. Heck, even the underbody and engine bay are very clean, and this is also the word to look for when it comes to Carfax.

Next, we've got to mention the pricing on Garage Kept Motors because this is no bargain. At $47,900, it is actually worth more than a brand-new 2024 Ford Mustang GT, which has an MSRP of $42,710 in the Fastback flavor. The 5.0-liter V8 naturally aspirated engine powering the Blue Oval's muscle car pumps out 480 hp (487 ps/358 kW), so it's superior to the Camaro 1SS in this chapter. Nevertheless, it loses in the thrust department, as it has 418 lb-ft (567 Nm) on tap.

Now, the Camaro 1SS may be nowhere near as exciting as a ZL1, yet the latter is much more expensive, and you'll have a hard time finding a nicely preserved copy for under six digits. So, if you were in the market for such a machine, would the pictured Chevy cut it? It's hard to say yes, especially since a brand-new V8-powered Mustang costs a bit less, but which one would you park in your garage for sub-$50,000?
