Earlier today, we talked about the real-world 2020 Toyota Supra tuning efforts (more on this below) and the time has come to zoom in on the digital side of the matter. To be more precise, we're looking at a rendering that portrays the Mk V in shooting brake form.
The said genre has gained popularity over the last couple of years, with automotive producers such as Aston Martin, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche being responsible for this.
Well, the front-engined layout of this Japanese sportscar means a S/B conversion would make sense - remember when Toyota's Australian arm came up with an 86 Shooting Brake? Sadly, that remained a concept and I wouldn't hold my breath for the carmaker releasing a production version of the Supra body style we have here.
Nevertheless, it shouldn't come as a surprise to see an eccentric shop out there coming up with such a build - in case you're wondering about the customer who would seek such a toy, one example would involve a vlogger engaged in the battle for social media attention.
Now, Yasid Oozeear, the digital artist behind this work, took the time to deliver some details on the pixel play:
"Here's another look at the Supra “shooting brake” I did a while ago, for fun! Currently working on a kit for this, but what you can see on this one is a development that I scrapped a while ago. Why? For obvious reasons: the kit is being done on the stock, original Supra model, and not a shooting brake one," we are being told on the artist's Instagram account.
As for the real-life fifth-generation Toyota Supra tuning scenery, this side of the market is obviously in its infancy and here's a sample, one that shows the machine using a redefined road connection.
