When it comes to mid-size crossover SUVs, the Nissan Rogue is a top player in the segment. As the 2015 MY approaches the end of production and Rogue sales in June increased by 54.3 percent (over June 2014), the Japanese manufacturer upped the ante with the US-specification 2016 Nissan Rogue to continue the strong sales momentum.
To arrive at Nissan dealerships in the United States in the fall of 2015, the updated Rogue is enhanced with added features and technology to keep the potential customer pool interested. Though the nameplate was redesigned from the ground up just two years ago, the 2016 model year is pushing the envelope even further.

There are 7 enhancements worth highlighting, with the first coming in the form of a new exterior color dubbed Magnetic Black. Opting for the Rogue S Appearance Package translates to body-colored side mirrors with integrated turn signals, as well as chrome door handles for that extra visual punch. Siri Eyes Free is standard on the Rogue SL and the Rogue SV Premium pack.

On the 2016 Nissan Rogue SL, the automaker added a motion-activated power liftgate for easier access when your hands are busy with shopping bags. Going a step further, the Rogue SL Premium pack adds an active safety feature called Forward Emergency Braking. The FEB system uses radar tech to monitor the speed and proximity of the vehicle ahead of the 2016 MY Rogue.

Speaking of radar technology, the Blind Spot Warning (BSW) system changed from being camera-based to radars for extra accuracy. Last but certainly not least, the NissanConnect Services with SiriusXM has been added to the 2016 Nissan Rogue SL for the tech-savvy among us. Available in FWD or all-wheel drive guises, the 2016 Nissan Rogue comes with a 170 HP 2.5L mill mated to an Xtronic CVT transmission.
