2016 Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe Teased, We Can't Wait for the First Pictures

The 2016 Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupé is an old acquaintance of ours, as we've seen test mules being pushed to their limits on the Nurburgring with extremely pleasing effects for the ears.
However, Mercedes-AMG started playing the official teasing game, which is fine by us. A recent video posted by Mercedes' hardcore division on YouTube with the "Are you ready?" question as a title looks like it's announcing the arrival of the 2016 Mercedes-AMG C63.

As usual, the video won't tell us much, except for some short frames focused on the interior. But lucky for us and you, recent batches of spyshots offer a better picture than the teaser clip.

For example, the Mercedes-AMG C63 will use the same 4.0-liter V8 as its sedan cousin. As a result, the power output will probably be the same too: the entry-level - if we can call it that - C63 will serve the driver with 476 HP and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque while the S version will deliver 510 HP and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque.

On paper, that's a lot more than what the BMW M4 has to offer, but it's too early to go into speculation regarding which one will be better on the race track.

What we can tell you in that respect is that the AMG C63 Coupé should be a tad louder than its Bavarian counterpart, with a more 'in your face' attitude on the sound side.

Visually, we should see some features being inspired by the S63 AMG Coupé high-class torpedo, but we'll let the first official photos do the talking at the right time, probably during this year's Frankfurt Motor Show.
