This just in from China-based auto.ifeng.com and autohome.com.cn: the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu has been fully exposed in the Asian country by the carparazzi. What you see in the three-photo gallery below is the real deal and word has is that the mid-size Chevy sedan will debut in China in April and the United States of America at a later date.
Though the eighth generation of the nameplate has been around with us since 2011, Chevrolet has been working on a replacement for at least two years now. Our spy photographers caught heavily camouflaged pre-production mules on many occasions, but this is the first production-ready example caught camo-free.

Chevy forums and reports hint that the Epsilon II platform will be swapped for the all-new E2XX, a FWD or AWD architecture that will be shared with the all-new Opel Insignia and 2017 Buick Regal.
You may remember that pre-production mules were wearing LED daytime running lights at the sides of the front bumper, which makes it even more curious: will the China-spec Malibu come with rounded fog lights and the US-spec boast with LEDs or both specifications will be alike?Moving on to the side profile view, nothing much has changed over the 2015 model year Malibu.
