When Cadillac came up with the XTS, nobody was amazed by the reasonable pricing of the sedan, since that was an interim flagship. However, we are now pleased to announce that Cadillac has now introduced the pricing for its CT6 actual flagship, and things are looking just as good.
The Cadillac Touring 6, to use the car’s full name, starts at $54,490, so we’re dealing with a lot of car for the money. Nevertheless, you’ll get a lot of car powered by a rather modest 272 hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which delivers its power to the rear wheels.

The standard trim includes all-LED exterior light clusters, an eight-speaker Bose audio system, an 8-inch instrument cluster display, a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment display, 14-way power front seats and others.

To put things into Cadillac perspective, the CT6 is only a few thousand dollars more expensive than the CTS.

As for the market introduction, the carmaker makes us wait for the end of the cold season, with the XT6 set to land in March 2015.

The mid-trim CT6 can be yours starting from a $2,000 premium over the standard pricing. The most important changes come in the technical department, where motivation comes from a 335 hp 3.6-liter V6.

As for the spicier twin-turbo V6 range-topper, this will require you to pay at least $65,390. But hey, you’ll get 400 hp and, obviously, all-wheel-drive.

You can choose between three trim packages, namely Luxury, Premium and Platinum, but the pricing for these hasn’t been offered yet. If, however, you feel like you want to take full advantage of the Caddy shine, you can go for a range-topping Platinum model, which will set you back $84,000. The only competitor that’s as new as the CT6 is the BMW 7-Series, which starts at $81,300.

The Platinum ups the ante on the tech front once again, offering rear-wheel steering and active dampers as standard. The list of standard features also includes a 34-speaker Bose Panaray audio system, a 12-inch instrument panel, a head-up display, 20-way heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, self-parking technology, as well as plenty of safety features.

We see the aging Audi A8 and the all-fresh BMW 7-Series as the closest competitors, but these cars don’t really share their entire customer base.
