The new BMW 3 Series facelift that was just launched was indeed just ever so subtly redesigned. Looking at it from the outside, you’ll be hard-pressed to notice the differences.
We all know by now that the biggest changes happened under the skin, with new engines and technologies introduced. However, there are other details we need to go through as well, in order to grasp the work the engineers and designers did.

For example, we need to take a look at the equipment lines offered. The new 3 Series models (sedan and touring) will be available in either Sport Line or Luxury Line versions. To that, you can add the M Sport package that is a different breed altogether as it improves the handling too along with the design.

Each equipment line comes with its own features, that is supposed to differentiate the 3 Series in between all other models. Inside the cabin, no matter of the line you choose, you can get the new optional Corner Anthracite cloth upholstery as well as the Oyster color, both of them fresh for the 2016 models.

Furthermore, all of the lines can now also be fitted with the optional ‘ash black’ wood panel with metal inlay. However, Sport Line models will offer a new leather upholstery variant with accents done in Veneto Beige and Saddle Brown, depending on your choice.

The Luxury Line also gets those colors and some extra feats like new bi-color 18-inch wheels. To top everything off, the M Sport package adds an M steering wheel, M Sport suspension and front seats, anthracite-colored headliner and the Driving Experience Control switch that brings out the Sport+ mode.

The total number of exterior paints has also been increased, reaching the impressive number of 16. Of course, that’s without the Individual range. The more important additions include Mediterranean Blue Metallic, Platinum Silver Metallic, and Jatoba Metallic. Estoril Blue is still reserved for M Sport cars while the Individual Champagne Quartz Metallic hue is an attractive choice.

BMW also published a couple of videos of the new car that allow us to take a closer look at all these new options. Check them out below.
