German tuners at B&B Automobil Technik are among the first to tackle the ongoing generation of the Audi A4. The B9 Audi A4’s Avant body style was chosen by the tuning specialists to showcase their skills.
They did not forget to develop an aerodynamic kit, complete with a set of alloy wheels. These are available in 19-inch and 20-inch versions.
No matter what package is chosen, customers also receive a software optimization for the S tronic and Tiptronic gearboxes in the Audi A4 Avant range. The top speed limiter set at 250 km/h (155 mph) is also removed.
Customers are offered an additional oil cooler kit with braided steel lines, a high-performance brake system, and a Coilover suspension kit, which lowers ride height by 35 mm, or 1,3 inches.
The engine tuning offering starts with the 2.0-liter TDI unit, which can have its output raised from 190 HP to 230 HP, while torque is increased from 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) to 460 Nm (340 lb-ft). This enhancement will cost owners 1,198 euros. Those willing to pay an extra 2,950 euros will get the stage 2 kit from B&B for the 2.0-liter TDI unit, which raises output to an impressive 250 HP and peak torque to 500 Nm (369 lb-ft).
Audi A4’s 3.0-liter V6 TDI engine can also be upgraded by B&B, and the smallest package starts at 1,698 euros. Once applied, it bumps output from 272 HP and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) to 310 HP and 670 Nm (495 lb-ft). The stage 2 conversion comes for an extra 1,950 euros, and brings a maximum of 326 HP and 695 Nm (513 lb-ft).
Impressively, the 3.0-liter unit can get even more power and torque, as B&B reveals. They will sell you a stage 3 kit for 3,950 euros. This one raises peak output to 350 HP, while torque reaches 725 Nm (535 lb-ft). According to the tuner, this kit will get their customers an Audi A4 Avant that can dash from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.5 seconds, an improvement of almost a second when compared to stock. Top speed is boosted to a maximum of 275 km/h (171 mph).
Audi’s TFSI engines in the A4 Avant range have also been modified by B&B, and results are also impressive. The 2.0-liter TFSI can go from 252 HP to 300 HP with the Stage 1, while Stage 2 brings 320 HP.
The most impressive package is the Stage 3 for this unit, which can go up to 365 HP and 530 Nm (391 lb-ft). Audi’s S4 Avant can also get a power bump, and the most expensive package costs 5,950 euros and bumps the output to 450 HP and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft).
