It seems the Swedish automaker Volvo finally figured out its new design language, revealed together with a concept two-door that they say is a P1800 for the 21st century.
In the past few years, Volvo really hasn't made any brand new cars, instead focusing on refreshing the existing models and adding better engines. But without premium design you can't have premium customers.

The next generation XC90 will probably be the next all-new Volvo, since prototype have been testing though this winter. During a presentation event, company officials revealed the design of the next SUV as well with a slide presentation.

At the front, a strong grille presents us with a more rectangular face, while the heatlights appear to be all-LED and have a T-shape design. The taillights have a split design we haven't seen on any car up until now. It's a bit like the Quake II logo, but that doesn't bother us at all.

The XC90 will be based on a new SPA (Scaleable Platform Architecture) platform, which is light and very strong. Because of it, the all-new SUV will be offered exclusively with turbocharged four-cylinder engines.
