At long last, the Blue Oval started shipping the soft-top convertible Mustang to United States dealerships! Compared to the $23,600 price of the 2015 Mustang V6 fastback, you’ll have to pay a hefty $5,500 if you want the roof chopped off and some extra pounds too.
But let’s be frank here for a moment - there’s so little difference in weight between the coupe and convertible, us normal drivers don’t even care. If you’re the type of spirited driver that likes to go racing on the track during weekends, then you’ll most definitely feel the lard and lower rigidity.

In terms of pricing, the 3.7-liter V6 Ford Mustang convertible can be had for $29,100. Step to the middle-range 2.3-liter EcoBoost Premium cloth roof ‘Stang and you’re looking at $34,670 and a fuel economy of 20 mpg city and 30 mpg highway. The 2015 Mustang GT Premium convertible model with its 5-liter Coyote V8 commands a $41,600 base price, which can be hiked really fast with a few options.

Could tick these too

Some options worth considering if you’re in the market for a soft-top Mustang are the heated seats and remote starting feature, which allows the all-new Mustang convertible to be enjoyed year-round, even in the coldest climates. Furthermore, owners can set up the traction control system in snow/wet tunes to tackle bad weather conditions without any worries.

“Mustangs are made for year-round practicality and enjoyment,” explains Melanie Banker, 2015 Ford Mustang brand manager, “so it’s exciting that customers are taking delivery of their convertible Mustang models – regardless of the season.” In other Mustang-related news, the iconic nameplate sold more than 9.2 million examples since the model's debut in 1964.
