After announcing the availability in Canada for the Honda NM4 Vultus, even though the latter beautiful name is to be dropped, we managed to get our hands on a tech spec sheet and also found out the estimated price of this very hot new bike.
Honda has indeed equipped the Vultus with the new 750-series NC lump, packing a 745cc displacement with 77x80mm bore and stroke, and which is good for 54 horspepower at 6250 rpm and a max torque of 68 Nm (50 lb-ft) at 4,750 rpm. Even though these figures are not exactly impressive, as they are extremely close to what the highly popular Transalp used to provide with less displacement, Honda claims the bike will be extremely fun to use.

The engine is mated to a Dual Clutch Transmission gearbox and Honda also says that the D-mode offers a 3.5 l/100 km (67 mpg) fuel economy, which is really cool. Since we mentioned the D-mode, you most likely guessed that the bike comes with riding modes, the usual D and S for the DCT transmissions.

With a kerb weight of 245 kg (540 lbs), the power rating does not look exactly thrilling, but until the bike rolls on the street, we’re willing to believe Honda, in a way. Generous brake rotors, dual-channel ABS, a rich digital dash and plenty of storage are a good complement for a bike which is also aimed a certain touring segment. In case mileage is as Honda claims, the very small 11.6-liter (3 US gal) tank might do.

The early 2015 Honda NM4 Vultus is rumored to be available for a price around $11,000 (€7,975), but with heated grips, panniers and other accessories on the optionals list. Now, some guys claim the Vultus will be available in June… not long until we find out more. Follow this link for more photos of the Honda NM4 Vultus. For specs, check the photo after the jump.
