We’ve been waiting for this new Ford model to be unveiled since we saw it in concept form last year. After a little too much hypefying for our liking, the American manufacturer finally let the cat out of the bag and this is it, ladies and gents, the Tonka toy-like all-new 2015 Ford Everest seven-seater SUV.
Before we go any further, we’ll highlight this family-hauler with off-road capability will be availabe only in places like New Zealand and Australia, China, India and South Africa. Sorry United States and sorry Europe, but apparently the Ford Everest isn’t on par with expectations in these parts of the world.

The Blue Oval’s reasoning is curious, but when you look at the finish of certain pieces of plastics inside the 2015 Ford Everest cabin’s, you’ll sort of figure out why it won’t come to western markets. Nevertheless, the interior design is pleasant to the eye.

Furthermore, the 2015 Everest features contemporary touches such as a color touchscreen multimedia system joined by a modern instrument cluster, as well as a lot of space for five adults and two kids. If we’re to be honest, the strongest point of the all-new Everest is the way it looks on the outside. Squarish styling, aluminum and chrome trim, cool rims wearing off-road tires and a tough personality. Al things to all men and it makes you wonder why other SUVs don't look as adventurous as the redesigned Everest.

Numbers, numbers, numbers

Boasting with a 225 mm ground clearance and capable of 800 mm of water-wading, Ford’s newest crossover SUV can also hold its own when the going gets bumpy thanks to a capable 29 degree approach angle and 25 degrees of departure. With a towing capacity of 3,000 kilos (6,613 lbs) and a payload of 750 kg (1,653 pounds), this four-by-four machine can haul, alright.

Speaking of numbers, drive is sent to all four wheels via a standard stick shift or a six-speed automatic by a choice of three engines. These are a 2-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost, as well as two oil burners you might know already from platform sibling Ranger - a 2.2-liter Duratorq TDCi and a 3.2-liter turbo diesel. There’s a lot more to the 2015 Everest, so if you want to find out more, check the vid, gallery and release below.
