While GM’s engineers are still out there doing the final testing on the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and Z06 Convertible, the rest of the ‘Vette team is just as busy, as shown by their latest effort, the launch of the 2015 Corvette Z06 configurator.
Before we venture further down this supercar path, we have to explain this is actually more of a visualizer, since pricing doesn’t seem to be included on the menu. Don’t worry though, Chevrolet has already put a price on the 650 hp, 650 lb-ft (881 Nm) supercharged C7.
If you’re looking to enjoy the faster-than-the-C6-ZR1 model in Coupe guise, you’ll have to pay at least $78,995, while the Convertible will set you back at least $83,995, with both prices including destination charges.
We’ll remind you that the C7 Z06 ordering guide already came to us via the leak pathway, so the options shown here aren’t new info either. Thus, you can have any of the two models in one of the three trim levels available: 1LZ, 2LZ and 3LZ.
Nonetheless, the visualizer works as a perfect appetizer, as, for instance, it allows you to play with the ten exterior shades of the car, as well as with the four choices for the wheels. Inside, you can see how the materials offered for each of the trims transform the cabin’s appearance, with the 2LZ offering more choices than the other two trim levels together.
Deliveries start early next year, so you’ll have plenty of time to play with the new tool and make up your mind.
