BMW said that the X4 will be arriving stateside this year and they are right on schedule. With the car’s world debut taking place at New York as we speak, the configurator also went online on BMW’s USA website.
Unfortunately for Americans, the second Sport Activity Coupe in the brand’s history, will only be available in the US in 2 guises: the xDrive28i and xDrive35i variants.

As you probably imagined, the xDrive28i will be the cheaper alternative, starting at $44,700 and coming fitted with a 2-liter turbocharged petrol engine making 245 HP and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque hooked up to an automatic 8-speed gearbox as standard.

Unlike on other models, on the X4 you’ll only get to pick out of two lines, the M Sport ($2,300) and the xLine ($1,500). The former brings a new aerodynamic kit, M steering wheel and door sills, 19” M double spoke wheels, high-gloss shadowline trims and access to exclusive paint colors.

xLine brings Dark Copper high-gloss trims, 19” Y Spoke wheels, Matte aluminum tailpipe finishers and xLine door sills. Both lines bring the exact same options on the $48,000 xDrive35i model too. However, the prices are smaller in this case, as the higher-spec version already has more standard kit on it ($1,900 for the M Sport line and $1,000 for xLine).

Now head on down and configure your own. Be careful though, as we found out that a fully packed X4 xDrive35i could set you back nearly $65,000.
