The recently-revealed 2014 Tundra pickup truck will become the first Toyota vehicle to be offered with the company’s next-generation Entune multimedia and telematics system.
What’s the updated Entune system all about, you may ask? In short, it comes with a “streamlined hardware strategy with four audio head units packing enhanced features and capability to offer improved user interface, enhanced voice recognition, improved navigation, and easier upgradability.”

But that’s not all, the next-gen Entune audio system will also offer the expanded convenience of the available Entune App Suite, now with Yelp, Facebook Places, along with upgraded HD data services, hybrid predictive traffic and hybrid weather forecast with Doppler map feature. As far as the interface is concerned, the new Entune will include a choice of color touchscreens ranging from 6.1-inches to 8-inches, depending on the model, that will allow the driver to customize the home screen into two or three sections.

In case you have no use for a Tundra pickup truck, the next-generation Entune system will become available on other models over the next six months, such as the Sequoia, 4Runner, Tacoma, RAV4, Highlander, Corolla, and the Camry. The rest of the Toyota line-up will get the new Entune next year.
