The first pictures of the production version of Toyota's 2014 Corolla have surfaced on the web, revealing a design based on the Furia Concept car seen at last month's Detroit Auto Show.
From the two leaked photos we can see that while the rear-end and quarter panels are clearly taken from the Furia Concept, the front-end is actually closer to the 2013 Toyota Auris. Not a big surprise really, since the Corolla and the Auris will most probably share the same platform and construction facility in Turkey and maybe Poland.
The overall exterior design shows Toyota's declared intentions of putting greater focus on younger costumers, but we think it's wise not to issue any further comments until we find out more about the car's technical specifications.
Earlier Toyota reports said the new Corolla will be launched in the United States before the end of the year, while the European version might appear in showrooms in early 2014.
