Recently unveiled at the New York International Auto Show, the 2014 Range Rover Sport will gain a diesel Hybrid model next year.
In addition, two more diesel powered versions of the SUV, meaning a 3.0-liter TDV6 (258 HP) and 4.4-liter SDV8 (339 HP) will be available to order in the United States starting early 2014. Although no further info has been released about the hybrid version, Land Rover says the new powertrain will be innovative and highly-efficient.
Until then, Range Rover Sport costumers will have a choice of two engines: a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 (510 HP) and a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 (292 HP or 300 PS). The new British luxury SUV can be ordered in four trims, priced from $63,495 to $93,295, including the $895 delivery fee.
Much lighter than its predecessor thanks to a new aluminum structure, the 2014 Range Rover Sport is described as the "fastest, most-agile, and responsive Land Rover ever" built.
