The 2014 Range Rover Sport is on its way to the 2013 New York Auto Show, and Land Rover has just confirmed it by releasing the first teaser with the SUV.
No other information was revealed by the British manufacturer, and the single teaser image of the vehicle is… a bit too blurry, so we can only relate to what John Edwards, Land Rover Brand Director, said about it.
"The all-new Range Rover Sport takes the model to another level. It is Land Rover’s most dynamic vehicle yet and showcases the best of British design, engineering and technological innovation," said Edwards.
And we agree. Considering the new Sport will be built on the lightweight aluminum chassis debuted by the regular Range Rover, fast and dynamic are indeed to be expected but we'll hold our horses for some actual figures.
As far as engines are concerned, the Range Rover Sport should come with the 510 HP supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine and the all-new supercharged 3.0-liter V6 340 HP-delivering unit. A naturally aspirated version of the V8 will probably be available as well.
