Ram’s brand new 2014 ProMaster van has gone on sale in North American dealerships, Chrysler revealed today. Based on Europe’s popular Fiat Ducato, the Ram ProMaster was unveiled back in March, while the first units started coming out of the company’s Saltillo Assemby Plant in July.
The 2014 ProMaster is available in three sizes - 1500, 2500 and 3500 - and starts from $26,530 (plus destination) for a 3500 Chassic Cab Cutaway with a 136-inch wheelbase. Those looking to order the range-topping ProMaster Cargo van with a 159-inch wheelbase will need to come up with at least $36,150.
The new van can be had with a choice of two engines. There’s the Fiat Ducato-sourced turbo 3.0-liter four-cylinder diesel rated at 174 HP and a Chrysler 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 gasoline mill that delivers 280 HP. The former comes with a five-speed Dualogic automated manual, while the latter is connected to a six-speed automatic.
As a reminder, Ram’s configurators for the 2014 ProMaster are online for quite some time, and all three models can be accessed via the following links: 1500, 2500, and 3500.
