2014 MINI Cooper S HD Wallpapers

When you first see the new MINI Cooper S you’ll immediately start praying to whatever deity you believe in to get in. The reworked exterior is nothing compared to the evolution that happened inside, the Mk3 model bringing an even more premium feel and better ergonomics. Luckily for you, we shot both the interior and exterior of the car and posted the pics here, for your viewing pleasure in HD 1920x1080px resolution.

Get in and go for a quick ride and you’ll soon experience the new chassis and see exactly how the MINI grew up. On the open road, the better sound insulation helps a lot but you really should miss out on the Harman Kardon sound system that is one of the best out there.

Taking the Cooper S up and above the 180 km/h (112 mph) barrier is troubling as the car will accelerate quickly up to this benchmark speed but will have a hard time reaching the 235 km/h (146 mph) limit MINI claims it has.

That’s because the car has a new turbocharged 2-liter 4-cylinder engine that wasn’t tuned to its full potential. It only develops 8 HP more than the 1.6-liter unit used on its predecessor, meaning it has a total of 192 HP and up to 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque at its disposal, on the front wheels. While that might seem more than decent, we’re waiting for the JCW model that is rumored to have 231 HP and a smarter differential up front.

While you’re trying to make the most of the engine’s power, the seats will keep you safe and sound. They offer plenty of side support and are more comfortable than on other sporty cars, like the M235i, for example. The perforated leather is a nice touch but it doesn’t actually serve any purpose other than looking nice.

To wrap it all up, the 2014 MINI Cooper S is an obvious evolution from its predecessor that’s mostly noticeable inside, especially from the driver’s seat. And yet, throughout the time we spent driving it, we couldn’t help but wonder how the John Cooper Works will be like.
