German automaker Mercedes-Benz has released US pricing information for the new 2014 C63 AMG Edition 507. Scheduled to go on sale this month, the sedan version will cost $70,000, while the coupe will fetch $72,000, plus the $925 destination fee.
Both vehicles feature the familiar 6.2-liter V8 engine with an output of 507 HP and 450 lb-ft of torque, which translates into an increase of 56 HP over the regular C63 AMG. This astounding amount of power enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds and an electronically-limited top speed of 174 mph (up from the usual 155 mph).
Design-wise, the Edition 507 comes with new styling features such as the C63 AMG Coupe Black Series-inspired hood and new AMG light-alloy forger wheels. Also, the vehicle offers a more dynamic interior, three different equipment choices and several optional extras, including AMG rear axle locking differential, AMG Performance Media or AMG carbon fiber trim.
“The C 63 AMG with the classic AMG 6.2-liter high-revving V8 naturally aspirated engine is one of the most popular AMG high-performance cars in the world. With the new C 63 AMG Edition 507, we are offering our loyal customers an attractive model variant which boasts even higher performance and at the same time is visually exciting,” said Ola Kallenius, chairman of Mercedes-AMG.
