At the beginning of the week, Lexus unveiled a brand new concept that’s going to be shown at the upcoming major auto show in Paris. This model was for us a lot of cars rolled into one, as the styling came from the LF-LC concept we liked so much, the size was of a mid-size coupe and it also previewed the next major product coming from the Japanese automaker, a compact sedan.
Automotive manipulator Thophilus Chin took the side profile photo of the said LF-CC concept and added two extra doors to make into the 2014 Lexus IS sedan.
The car will feature the latest in Lexus design, the spindle grille at the front, and a tri-headlight configuration.
The second generation of the Lexus IS was showcased at the Geneva Auto Show in 2005, and a replacement should be ready for next year’s Frankfurt or Geneva.
Currently, in the US, this compact sedan is available with two engine configurations, 250 and 350, while in Europe an additional diesel solution, 220 D, can be opted for. The concept car also reveals a new powertrain, a 2.5-liter hybrid system with under 100 grams per kilometer.
