The new Lexus IS looks absolutely stunning for a compact sedan, but you know what would look even better? An IS Coupe.
According to earlier rumors, the Japanese automaker got plans to make a 2-door version for the IS, a good competitor for the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe, Audi A5 and the upcoming BMW 4-Series.
The Lexus IS Coupe will mostly be inspired by the sexiest Lexus ever created, the LF-CC Concept we’ve seen earlier, while it will probably be powered by the same engine found on the sedan: 204 hp 2.5-liter V6, 306 hp 3.5-liter V6 and probably the 220 hp hybrid setup from the IS 300h.
Until the automaker teases us with some of the future coupe, here is a picture courtesy of TopSpeed, showing how the new car may look like in their vision. The rendering started from a sedan IS which got a revised roofline and LF-CC inspired proportions.
