Starting at $36,620, the Lexus ES model is just $520 more expensive than the IS entry level luxury sedan, but for the money you get a lot more features.
It is a front-wheel-drive car, but the ES 350 puts out 268 hp and manages to achieve 21/31 city/highway mpg compared to the 19/27 mpg of the IS 250, which is also a bit short on power.
You won’t go sideways in the ES, but you get more rear legroom, eight-speaker Premium Sound System with multiple connectivity, Smart Access, cruise control and a whole lot more.
