Champions start early and Kawasaki knows this: that's why they're continuing the kids' ATV series with the 2014 year model of the KFX50. Created for riders age 6 and older, this mini ATV is a great choice for an educational machine: a small, unintimidating profile, easy and intuitive operation, age-specific ergonomics and above all, safety-focused features.
The 2014 Kawasaki KFX50 is powered by a 49cc air-cooled 4-stroke single, with electric starting and kick-start backup and automatic fuel enricher for easy starting. With continuously variable automatic transmission and centrifugal clutch, the 2014 Kawasaki KFX50 is easy to operate. Both brakes are hand-actuated for simplified control, and sport dual drums in the front, and a rear disc.
A screw-type throttle limiter and keyed ignition allow the adult supervisors to decide who and when rides the 2014 Kawasaki KFX50, and how fast. A quick engine kill is also ensured by the tether line safety device.
The full-sized floorboards ensure good support and protection form mud and gravel. The 2014 Kawasaki KFX50 weighs in at 240 lbs (108 kg) and will be available for $1,999 (€1,505).
