Some of you might not recall it, but Chevrolet’s first “Find New Roads” spot, which was launched in February, included a short scene featuring the 2014 Corvette Stingray and a virtual high tech flying... stingray.
The awesome scene ended rather abruptly, as Chevy’s video at the time was a mash up that included the Volt, Sonic, Spark and the Impala. Today we finally get to see the full stingray vs. stingray battle, as the American automaker released the “Showdown” commercial.
Obviously linked to Chevy’s “So why just go from A to B when imagination can take you everywhere?” message, the ad shows a 2014 Corvette being driven through the city streets with an unidentified flying stingray-like object on its tail. What Chevrolet is trying to say is that the brand new sportscar was developed to “take you on an unprecedented ride and unleash your subconscious”.
Judging by the way the new vehicle has been received so far, we’d be crazy not to agree with Chevrolet. On the other hand, we’ll let you decide whether or not the 2014 Corvette is exciting enough.
