Chevrolet continues to release footage from the revealing ceremony of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado in Detroit. The 2014 Silverado features an all-new lineup of EcoTec3 engines, three of them in fact, and a number of drivetrain and aerodynamic improvements that make this the most efficient and capable pickup they’ve ever made.
Noteworthy visual changes over the previous generation 1500 truck include larger headlights, a dual 'power dome' hood and more imposing grille. They’ve also launched a number of wheel options, ranging from 17- to 20-inches.
Passengers will benefit from better access, a 4.2-inch Driver Information Center and a rugged dashboard.
Powertrain options include a 4.3-liter V6, a 5.3-liter V8 and a 6.2-liter V8. Precise output is not yet know, but they al have direct injection, variable valve timing and cylinder deactivation.
“The new Sierra and Silverado are more differentiated than ever in unique features and materials, in their standard content and in their design and details,” said Mark Reuss, president, GM North America. “These are two strong and distinct brands – each one appealing to a different kind of customer.”
