Today, the automaker has announced that the 2014 Chevy Silverado, together with its cousin the GMC Sierra, will be shown at the Michigan Motion Pictures Studio in Pontiac, Michigan during an unveiling ceremony two days from now, on December 13th, 2012.

Of course, if you can’t make it, there will be lots of press photos for you right here, on autoevolution, or you could wait until the 2013 NAIAS in Detroit early next year.

Both trucks will shed quite a lot of weight to battle fuel inefficiency. GM's new small-block V8 with direct injection and variable valve timing technology is sure to make an appearance under the hood, but there might be a V6 option as well.
