The third-generation BMW X5 has recently entered production at the Spartanburg plant in South Carolina, the site where the carmaker has built the SAV from its first incarnation.
The first unit of the F15 BMW X5 is an M50d model, powered by a tri-turbo diesel six-cylinder oil burner delivering 381 HP and 546 lb-ft (740 Nm) of torque. This is destined for a dealer in Eastern Europe, which will rely on the Mineral White exterior and Nappa Mocha leather interior to draw customer attention.
We’ll remind you that BMW’s Spartanburg plant produced the last second-generation E70 X5 on June 28th this year, so the employees are certainly excited about getting back in X5-producing business.
