News about the new M3 and M4 keep pouring in, especially through German media channels as it seems like the Bavarian company decided to let them publish some information about the new cars before anyone else.
According to Auto Motor und Sport, the new M3 will start at EUR71,500 in Germany or roughly USD98,425 at today’s rates, which is actually roughly the same as the price of the outgoing M3 Coupe around Europe. In the States, the price will be, more likely, around USD60,000, close to the one the E92 had before being retired.
The same article claims that the new car will do 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.3 seconds, as Autobild reported earlier but that’s with the manual gearbox. The 7-speed DCT gearbox will improve that time by 0.2 seconds and save some fuel while doing it, the car being rated at 8.3 l/100 km (28 mpg) combined, compared to the 8.8 l/100 km (26.7 mpg) of the manual.
For more info though, we’ll have to wait a bit more. Stay tuned!
