The prototype for the next generation BMW M3 sedan was spotted earlier this week wearing for the first time its signature kidney grille and a production set of headlights. This was big news for fans of the Bavarian carmaker and now a graphics manipulator has managed to peal back the camouflage off the car, so we can get a pretty accurate look of what the car will look like.
These images were created by Wildspeed for Bimmerpost and reveal precious new information about the car. For example, there is actually a little scoop on the bonnet of the car, one which is not there on the bonnet of the car, one which should not be present on cars with the M optics package. So you’ll be able to tell the M3 from the regular sedan straight away.
The other big way to tell them apart is the quad exhaust design, which will be flanked by a custom rear bumper.
Powering the new M3 will be a turbocharged straight-six engine with 450 horsepower. We believe this to be a tri-turbo 3.2-liter, bringing back a block similar to that of the E46.
