The F30 platform that underpinned the 2012 3 Series has already spawned two more cars, the 3 Series GT and the new 4 Series Coupe. Soon though, another member will join the family soon.
A recent spotter video from the Nurburgring shows the 4 Series Convertible undergoing testing. This prototype is clearly equipped with either the M Sport package or is the M435i. This is indicated by the flares in the rear fenders and the curved chin at the front, as well as larger alloy wheels and double exhaust.

The 4er Cabrio has no shortage of competitors, from the Audi A5, even lower cost models like the new Opel Cascada. But the one thing none of them can offer is this cool folding metal roof, a must if you want to be comfortable in the winter.

As for the rest of the engine range, this will have a number of four- and six-cylinder cars, ranging from the popular 320d and going all the way up to the powerful award winning N55 of the 435i model. There should also be an M4 Cabrio on the way, but that will have to wait another year or so.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
