With less than a month left until the German hot-hatch hits European dealerships, Volkswagen has showcased its new 2013 Golf GTI in a new batch of photos.
As we already told you earlier this month, the 2013 Golf GTI will be available, for the first time in its history, with two power levels: the 217 HP standard version and the 227 HP Performance version, both powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine.
If you you want those 10 extra horses under the bonnet, you’ll have to pay about €1,000 more, a price that will also bring you a 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) time of 6.4 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h), instead of 6.5 seconds and 152 mph (246 km/h) respectively.
About 42 kilograms (92 lbs) lighter, the new Golf GTI will come with improved fuel efficiency and several convenience and safety features as standard, including progressive steering, Driver Alert or Automatic Post-Collision Braking.
The 2013 Golf GTI will arrive in European dealerships next month, while British customers will have to wait until June to get their hot-hatches.
