The model car was discovered by Carscoop as the "Dealer Edition 1/43 2013 VW Beetle Cabriolet Convertible", offered by German company Schuco.
The model exposes the fact that the Beetle Cabriolet will be a 2+2, with a bench seat in the back, suitable for short trips. The roof is a cloth type and doesn’t store away in any particular compartment.
The new Beetle Cabrio is expected by the end of the year. Engine options should carry over completely from the coupe. In the US, this will mean a choice of 2.5-liter base model, 2.0 TDI Clean Diesel and 2.0 Turbo.
