We’re here to give you a Lamborghini Aventador that’s been gifted with carbon fiber, platinum ,gold, diamonds- wait, what? Well, we’re not talking about an actual Aventador, but we’re looking at the most expensive scale model car the world has ever seen.
This 1/8th Aventador scale model is the creation of Robert Guelpen, a German who has made an obsession (the good kind) for building such things and comes after last year’s $2.93 million Bugatti Veyron model.
The creation talks to the road DESK using platinum wheels and a solid gold suspension, while many other parts are made from carbon fiber. However, the carbon fiber parts will also come with a golden finish, as these have received a gold wrap.
The gold Lamborghini Aventador gold is set to be auctioned in New York later this month. The materials used for building it are estimated to cost around EUR2.5 ($3.36) million,. but the car should fetch around ERU3.5 ($4.7) million. The proceeds from the auction will be donated to charity.
Guelpen is also aiming to enter the Guinness Book of World Records for building the most expensive model car.
