Earlier today we reported that Chrysler Group LLC has recalled no less than 246,000 vehicles over several issues and is seems that Auburn Hills has some problems in truck sector as well.
About 9,300 2013 Ram 1500 pickup trucks will be recalled to have their parking brakes inspected and, if necessary, reset according to specification, Chrysler said on Tuesday, adding that they’ve discovered “a small number of vehicles whose parking brakes did not comply with mandated performance standards.”
Furthermore, the company will recall approximately 7,000 2013 heavy-duty Ram 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks with 6.7-liter diesels to replace their engine covers which were found “to have less heat resistance than intended”.
Chrysler says that half of the 9,300 recalled Ram 1500s are still in dealer hands, while only 550 examples of the 7,000 faulty heavy-duty Rams have been delivered to their customers.
No accidents or injuries have been associated with the above-mentioned issues.
