While the compact pickup market is getting narrower every year, Nissan still doesn't want to let the Frontier go and decided to continue with a mildly refreshed vehicle for 2013.
With Nissan North America Inc. still hoping to sell some Frontiers this year, the 2013 version of the pickup is announced to hit the showrooms with "one-to-two miles per gallon" improved fuel efficiency and price reductions of up to $1,450.

The most important change in the 2013 lineup seems to the return of the 4x2 Desert Runner package model, now available in both King Cab and Crew Cab version, and the introduction of revised PRO-4X, including RearView Monitor and Rear Sonar System.

As for the engine lineup, the Frontier comes with the 261 horsepower 4.0-liter DOHC V6 and 152 horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder units, the latter available on the King Cab only.

Other enhancements include a tailgate spoiler ("guilty" in part for the improved fuel economy), Value Truck Package with floor mats, Dual Zone Auto A/C, sliding bed extender and trailer hitch, or updated seat upholstery with new contrast stitching and embroidery.
