One more pre-season testing stage has ended, the second 3-day session at Sepang, Malaysia. Honda riders have dominated the last day, with Dani Pedrosa and rookie Marc Marquez close behind him in the second position.
However, it's Yamaha's Spaniard Jorge Lorenzo who leaves Sepang with the fastest lap of 2m0s282, almost a third of a second ahead of Pedrosa and 0.36 ahead of Marquez. Lorenzo finished the day in 3rd, with team mate Valentino Rossi half a second behind him.

Ducati's Dovizioso and Hayden seem on a good track, with the Italian managing to close the gap to roughly 1 second. Still way off the charts for a win claim, the new weight distribution policy Ducati brought in seems to help the riders be a bit faster, though there is a lot of room for improvement.

Most of the teams have one more big test at Jerez, while Honda has a mid-March session on US grounds. It's a costly business, but Yamaha has decided they will be present at Austin, TX, too, knowing that it's not wise at all to leave Honda alone.

Ducati has no money for the trip and despite both factory riders in desperate need for some more riding against their fellows, the team stays in Europe. Sepang results after the jump.
